I have, of course, a few little gripes!
First of all, the radio reception is often not very good. Of course, this is only relevant if you are interested in to listen to radio, but it's something to keep in mind.
Secondly, I found a little difficult to use and quite uncomfortable in purchasing the headphones. Not that the 780T is unique in that, and, of course, headphones can be purchased separately, but I don't really like the standard phones, with 780 tonnes.
That being said, it is still a very, very good example of what you get when you buy a cheap mp3 player, and for the price, it is exceptional value for money.
SanDisk Sansa e100 (e140 - 1 GB$ 80)
This comes with 1 GB of memory, so it is of course the ability to download more music than the above 780T.
Again, this is five-star mp3 player, high quality of a lesser-known name that can play mp3 or WMA files, weighs 0 4ozs and has a battery life of 15 hours continuous playback.
Also like the 780T this provides excellent sound quality, with its "TruBass" function again to the response at the bottom of the tonal scale Add.
The controls are arranged very ergonomic and are easy to use and the backlit LCD display, allies to detailed album or song to make this a very simple player actually work.
It has the additional advantage that there is no requirement for special software for songs on it - "drag and drop" loading Windows simply is all that is necessary - and pure functions, Sansa e140 pretty hard to beat.
Disadvantages are again like 780T, very few.
It seems noticeably (and slightly irritating) to be a gap between tracks on the play e140, but this seems to be a function (or fault), I found that with some other Flash have an inherent fault of the technology, rather than the manufacturer player one, constructed so maybe it is.
Also, once again, I found the headphones unpleasant, but (since the frequency that this seems to be the case) perhaps should I blame the shape of my own ears, rather than on the phones!
To sum up the iRiver represent-780 tonnes and the SanDisk Sansa e140 all is what's good about the idea of buying a cheap mp3 player!
